The Power of Love

“Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it” – MLK

“And now abideth faith, hope, LOVE, these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE” – St Paul

My mother calls me with a four letter word – the short for my name – “Love”. It’s not a swear word, it’s the sworn commitment of the undying love of a mother. Let’s talk about love…

Love is an answer to every question. It is a solution to every problem. A remedy for every ailment. A plug for every hole. Love is a creative force of progress. Love can open doors. It can climb the highest mountain, cross the widest rivers, swim vast oceans, go to deepest depths, walk the longest distance. When you love deeply it gives you courage. When you are loved deeply it gives you strength. In the face of a strong no, a stronger love will say yes. Love will make you pursue goals without complaining or giving up. To change the world, you need the catalyst of love. To build the world you need the bricks of love. To protect the world, you need soldiers of love. To educate the world, you need teachers of love. To heal the world you need doctors of love. To speak to the world you need messengers of love. Love is the oil in the wheels of purpose and the passion in the furnace of goals. The womb of success is filled with waters of love.

When all else is gone there are 3 principles which will remain – faith, hope and love. They are the 3 creative principles of the human spirit. They help us to understand the deepest yearnings of the human spirit – believing today is going to be ok, and tomorrow will just be fine. Of the 3 love is the greatest.

Faith is for today. Hope is for the tomorrow . Love is for always. Wear love today, it’s an all purpose garment and all weather attire.
